...I'm not sure why everyone and their cousin seems to think that. One of the schools that I attended as a child required us to read and discuss passages from an actual Bible. The text never shied away from who was raped and who was merely 'laid with.' Interestingly, the fall angels 'laid with' human women and produced offspring. Which is not necessarily the same thing as 'taken by force' at all.
