I love how all these characters get so much description yet this never contributes to the plot in anyway. Micah is apparently so delicate and feminine but soemhow having broad shoulders shows he's a guy. Girls can have broad shoulders, too. Honestly, if LKH is going to write male characters who look exactly like girls except they have a penis then why not just have Anita be a lesbian or something? It just seems like LKH tries to be edgy (Anita basically has sex with Jade at the end of the book I think) but never actually goes fully with the idea (It's wasn't just her and Jade. It was her, Domino, and Jade. Maybe she needed a guy to clear up all that estrogen considering her comment in the first chapter? IDK.

That "techinally African-American" thing about Vivian pissed me off. It seemed like it was LKH's way of saying "Well she's black if want to get really specific but don't worry she's white." Look at her eyes,they are blue (a color commonly associated with caucasians). In fact, she easily passes for white. Despite all the characters hardly any are ethnic and if they are it's only to make them seem "exotic". I would hope LKH includes more POC but don't even get me started on Laila from Hit List.
