/everyone wants her toys because they're the bestest but they're all hers nah nah nah look at me and my hotties they're all mine!/

This happens in Twilight and its rip-off, Fifty Shades of Grey, as well. I don’t understand why these authors feel the need to have every female character drool over the leading man in order to promote the heroine’s worth. It’s not flattering, it’s annoying. Besides, why should the heroine care? If she supposedly loves the guy so much, she should already know how much he loves her and how lucky she feels. So, not only is the constant slew of attention ridiculous, it’s also unnecessary.

/this is just another symptom of her 'all relationships need a man and a woman!' heterosexism--even gay guys are still really looking for someone to be the 'woman' in the relationship if they aren't little and pretty themselves, and that would of course be little and pretty guys like Micah. Which is also why he and the others get to be the 'women' with her, because Anita is The Guy! And there can't be two guys, even if the relationship is between two men!/

Because if that were the case, then gender roles would be meaningless. You’d have to actually start writing and seeing people as PEOPLE. Not as individuals restricted and controlled by whatever chromosomes and sex organs they happen to be born with. No, there can’t be two traditionally masculine men in a relationship together because then who would cook for the other? Who would stay home and clean the dishes and vacuum the carpet? Surely, you’re not suggesting that a *manly* man would ever do such things. Or, heaven forbid, that *two* manly men would do such things together.

/Richard is a werewolf, and an Ulfric at that, and he's a junior high science teacher and that's why he's not here tonight./

I choose to believe that he knew that Anita and her harem would make a spectacle of themselves and wisely chose to turn down the invitation. Good for him.

/Just in case we didn’t get it by now, Monica is a Jealous Hater./

Nah, she’s probably thinking about how ridiculous they are and Anita’s just projecting her insecurities onto Monica again.
