What you said (and what RF said in the spork) got to me. A few months ago when I was feeling especially down I said something to my man about worrying that he would leave me. Maybe I was a little bit looking for reassurance, but he got so furious that I would think that way that it finally got to me. By saying something like that I'm insulting his love, devotion and commitment to me. People who love each other and who have been together for 13 years don't just leave over trivia.
