He's demonstrated the ability to actively and deliberately affect Anita's mood swings.

I remember how Anita and JC dismissed him as someone who would never make it to master vampire. I think that given his demonstrated resistance and ability thus far to keep himself and his personal life out of Anita's view, Damien might be on his way to becoming a master. It would be awesome for him to turn the tables on JC and use Anita against him. I would totally read that fanfic.
