Graham is a werewolf that really really wants to have sex with Anita but she doesn't want to fuck him. My guess is that this is because while he has a "tall, Nordic father" he is half-Japanese on his mother's side and has "the little uptilt at the edges of his eyes and the straight black hair" that is "cut a little too long through the bangs."

Not only is Graham not white enough for Anita, but he is also mixed. It's very hard for LKH to admit that Anita is not the only mixed person in the universe, but she tries. The way she treats mixed characters is...weird. I can remember that mind-numbing conversation Anita had with Bernardo regarding 'passing' in Obsidian Butterfly. At any rate, any character who is mixed is handled just as badly as fully non-white characters.
