*flails* I love this update, especially a kind and brave Rafael, the politicking, and Klaus' fit of temper. Oddly, I also love the tiny little beat when Richard Just Isn't Getting It and JC Just Can't Be Bothered To Explain It, because vamps that are irritated by the ignorance of younger beings just doesn't happen enough.

(Also, what sort of higher education system turns out TWO biology majors who believe that Narcissus is a hermaphrodite in a world where That Is NOT A Thing? And then lets them go on to teach and/or provide info to police investigations? They shouldn't have made it through biology 101.)
