I think it's EXACTLY that. Anita is a rapist too, after all, I don't see why it should be different for her just because she's female...especially with how much of a "guy" she emphasizes she is.
Why does he even need to be there if all you’re going to do is ignore him and belittle him? For the exact purpose of doing just that! I'm pretty sure that's why Richard hasn't been killed off or otherwise written out, she LIKES doing this.
I swear, if the narrator of this book was an Antonio instead of an Anita, red flags would be sprouting up in readers’ faces all over the place I actually was going through some of my old stuff and found a short thing I did of Anthony Blake, I'm planning to put it up soon.
