Personally, I think finding links between LKH's personal life and her books is absolutely fair game. She answered a question about the books with a non sequiter about her own sex life on Reddit, and that's just one example. I always think it's fine to talk about authors' lives in relation to their books (though only in ways they actually do relate, not going wild), and with LKH even more so.
