I never understood people who weren't happy being white (I'll give your young self a pass as you were, well, young), especially if you are something that isn't cool. Like most of my friends are descended from Ireland or Germany. Me? Mostly English, and guess what? I am damn proud! Sure the English people were a bunch of gits, but it makes it more fun to poke fun at them (especially with having an Irish descendant living in the house with me).
