Yeah, it's been brought up in conversation in previous books that 16 is legal in Las Vegas, and this gets focused on as the main judgement of if the relationship is okay or not. Which I think is further evidence that a lot of LKH's judgements of "right" and 'wrong" are just based around the letter of the law and not much on actual morality of any type.
