I cannot tell you how much I want to read a series about Yiyu, awesomely powerful black tiger shifter, escaping from her vindictive vampire master and forging her own life away from him. Instead we get Jade, timid little playtoy to cater to Anita/LKH's "heteroflexible" needs. Ugh. Poor Yiyu. She could be so fucking badass in the hands of another author, but then so could everyone in the Anitaverse. It just annoys me that we get introduced to Yiyu as this super-powerful therian with a fascinating background to explore and instead of seeing any of that, we just get this China Doll stereotype who exists solely to make Anita look enlightened and compassionate, despite the fact that Anita can clearly barely be bothered with acknowledging Yiyu if she doesn't have to.
