I saw The Red Shoes a looong time ago, but I remember it being about how much rich, powerful men sucked and how they used others and how in particular they drove this one amazingly talented, artistic woman to her death. So.
As for Amadeus, it's one of my favorite movies, and the whole point was that Mozart was a very normal guy with poor impulse control and a potty mouth. That being a great artist doesn't depend on the kind of classist standards Quinn wanks to. That Mozart wrote an opera that all Germans could understand, whether they were privileged enough to know Italian or not, was a huge deal. Mozart (as portrayed by the movie) would have adored Patsy (and probably tried to sleep with her) and made fun of Quinn -- likely in rude, cruel ways, because Mozart was kind of an asshole, but frankly Quinn deserves it.
