Yes. But also, if it is normal in your culture for men to cry and show physical affection towards each other - and I don't know about Ancient Babylon but it sure as hell is in Arab cultures - you wouldn't even remark on it. I can see "crying like a child" as valid because child crying is different to adult crying and the phrase is a useful way of describing HOW the person is crying, but "crying like a woman" doesn't make any sense. How do women cry? Daintily? Dabbing at their eyes so as not to mess up their makeup which men in the ancient world also wore oh damn...
