I am so sick of people needing to hold Anita's hand or cuddle her or what the fuck ever if something omg scary happens. What happened to the woman who lived alone? What happened to the woman who faced way worse shit than OMG a VAMPIRE ON THE PHONE. I don't mind if a character needs comfort every now and then, but Anita takes it to eleven and it doesn't make me think well of her. It's like she can't take a shit without someone holding her hand. That level of dependency is not only incredibly unhealthy, it's not fun to read about when it's shown as normal and not-bad.
