I have come to the conclusion that LKH is writing for the anti-fans. The level of writing skill has declined incredibly the last several books yet she adds some truly baffling and disgusting scenes with characters designed to inflame. It is a literary FU to "negative readers" because she cannot intelligently approach the criticism.
How does one justify creating a character that gains in power by spreading her legs? Write every naysayer as a jealous whiner baby or rabid racist that are all sexually repressed. And then just to dig it in deeper, write a scene where Anita gets glued to another guy via condom with dried up jizz. Now that will show them! FU negative readers! I am still a NY times best seller and can write whatever I damn please!
