Maybe Damien doesn't like Nate at all since Nate is one of the "perfect boitois" and Damien is afraid that he might be mindfucked into that state. He doesn't want to lose himself. Also, he knows that getting Anita to eat anything is going to be a battle and his continued existence is contingent on getting her to eat, so he's going in with the all the arguments and food items he thinks will get him the win. He doesn't care if Nate gets a scar or if MoaD takes over. He just doesn't want to be drained on by two parasites at once.
