I'm wondering if this has something to do with her haters rant in the recent past. With all these "hater" readers "misreading" what she wrote, maybe LKH has decided to overexplain it to make sure readers all understand exactly what she wants us to understand and how to understand it. Books and people don't actually work that way, but that might be her intention.
