Oh god. 'Master' of Tigers? Let's leave out the whole issue of Anita needing to have masculine titles, because that's another can of worms that I don't even want to open. Instead, why don't we look at the matriarchal culture who are all ultimately ruled (enslaved, really) by one 'master'. Oh LKH, tell me again about how feminist you are. "That's like saying that I owe my dad for not molesting me growing up just because he could have" I think you've nailed the weird sense of entitlement that this woman has. I really do think that she sets up horrible (in theory, once you get to the 5th sexual sadist, it sort of loses the impact when he rubs blood on his nipples [or something]) monsters just so she can point and say "look, I haven't hooked you up to meat hooks yet! WORSHIP ME AS THE BENEVOLENT GODDESS THAT I AM, DAMMIT"
He says that he's "known these kittens their whole lives" I can justify him calling the weretigers 'kittens' if he really has known them since their childhoods. It would be like how my aunt still calls me a kid. Sort of an affectionate nickname that recognizes your relationship with them.
"we will live or die as we always have, by our own hands." I read this as "we are so powerful that only the Harlequin can kill Harlequin member" But then I realized that would be pretty cool, and would mean that he thought that Anita wasn't as powerful as him, and Anita is the most badass badass that every badly assed, so that can't be right
