Given Anita’s twisted approval of slavery and objectification of therians, it would be interesting if anybody did a crossover Anita Blake/Island of Dr. Moreau fanfic. Anita would meet her match when it came to sadism and enslavement. Of course, Dr. Moreau wasn’t intended to be a hero, which puts H.G. Wells light-years ahead of LKH when it comes to moral standards.

WHY ARE WE SUPPOSED TO THINK THAT THIS IS OKAY?! No, Anita, it’s NOT okay when somebody’s freedom of speech and free will are taken away from them. Would it be okay if you couldn't say anything unless your boyfriend told you that you could? He’s not your “Bride,” he’s your mental slave. Also, I'm pretty sure that Dracula's "brides" (they're not actually called that in the book) had more freedom than he has. But I forgot, in the happily remarried LKH's world: marriage equals slavery, hence the term, "Bride." That's so good to know. It's not like that's an unfair, demeaning, and childish stereotype.
