I do know how to ruin a character's day. Also, much of the circumstantial evidence points to "Damien quietly hates Anita."
It gets worse. LKH makes her supposedly judo savvy avatar immediately go to a pin she doesn't think she can hold and then... Julia needs to get far away from all of these people and their slimy politics and recover around those who actually care about her. But nearly all judo throws (if done well) put the tori in position for a joint destroying submission on the uke without a scramble for the pin. There was a choice to not rape even in the middle of Anita being an asshole and LKH chose not to use it. And then what happens after... I'm left thinking that LKH is a rape apologist. I cannot adaquately express my loathing for this.
One of the zoos near me does critter encounters and one day I went to one and they pulled out one of the trained adult cheetahs. The cat was very relaxed, constantly groomed her handler's arm, and purred like a kitten the entire time. The audience was allowed to sit about 4 feet away and given instructions to not try to pet her.
