I'm more than half Scandinavian. We Vikings helped keep western Europe in the "Dark Ages" for centuries, we killed and raped and burned and pillaged them so much, woohoo!
Actually, I'm not proud of any of my ancestry. They were all assholes, though the Dutch part a tad less than the rest, at least in recent history. It doesn't help that my something-great grandfather was James K. Polk's brother -- a really huge slaveholder. And I have somethingth cousins who have dark brown skin, related through that branch. Um, yeah. Now, everyone has ancestors who were rapists, but that brings it closer to home.
