Indeed, human behavior in general seems to escape her grasp, which just happens to extend to the area of bigotry, but not limited exclusively to it. I was just reading on the Amazon boards review of Dancing how some folks think she was raised on another planet. I'm not the most socially astute person myself either, but she's something else.
