There were some people on the amazon board postulating that Ellen was a stand-in for LKH's ex-husband's new wife. Definitely everyone agrees she must be a real person. I can't bring myself to read the thing. Dancing was just godawful and after the week we had I don't think I could face this without going off the rails.
