The idea that women are 'chatty' and 'talkative' while men are stoic and disprove of communication is a massive issue in modern feminism - not only is it obviously not true, there have been a lot of psychological and sociological studies into how men see it as being acceptable to talk over women and interrupt them because they don't see what they're saying as being important.
