I think the worst thing for me is that Yiyu's unwillingness to "play" with Asher is painted as a failing on Yiyu's part, that she's damaged and psychologically incapable. Asher can be a creepy, pushy predator but Anita never really talks about it like he's a dangerous, unsavory potential rapist; it's more like a tiresome personality quirk, like "yeah, he does put empty milk cartons back in the fridge, but hey can't have brains and beauty!" In contrast, whenever Yiyu expresses discomfort or unhappiness, Anita's nothing but sighs and eye-rolling.
