I was going to say it's very first draft-ish, but really I don't think that's it. First drafts often have lots of scenes that need to be stitched together, but they aren't usually so totally and completely unrelated. If a writer does think of an unrelated scene, they'll make it related or take it out. LKH instead seems to have one plot idea per writing session or something, each of which could fuel a book by itself, and she doesn't bother to make them matter to each other. She seems to literally forget the story she's telling with each switch.
