There's that too. I'm pretty sure LKH doesn't re-read much of what she's written even as she's going along let alone go back to revise things when later information needs to be influenced by previous events. I know she's said she doesn't re-read her previous books (why bother when you can hit up fans on twitter/facebook for the info you need?) so....yeaaaah.
