Yeah, you know, I think you're right. All of the "good" women thus have performed femininity in a specific set of "good" ways---prettiness, pretty clothes, etc. Patsy, the bad woman, is "wild" and "country" and wears cowboy boots with big hair and obvious makeup aka the bad slutty trashy kind of feminine. And so of course Lynelle is also "smarter" than she is in addition to more moral and good!
Yeah, I haven't seen The Red Shoes personally, but from what I know of it, it seems Quinn epically missed the point.
You make a good point about Lestat too---when Quinn talks about him, he isn't concerned about things like Lestat helping him with Goblin, or even in anything about Lestat's own life that he's read in the books, it's just about how pretty he is. Oh, and supposedly how kind and loving he sounds towards Quinn.
